I want you to imagine something, imagine your self in complete control of your life, even if you take
on local clients. Meaning, if they bitch at you, or treat you like an employee (which is NOT why we do this)
you can simply say:
“Cool, you know what? I don’t work for you. You’re fired. Since SEO needs to be worked on continually, you can expect
to your rankings that I did for you, drop. Good luck finding an SEO firm that won’t rip you off”
And then hang up.
They’ll come crawling back, they always do.
Because YOU are in control :).
What you do is way more important to them than you realized, and if done right,
you can just pack it up and leave, and remind them you are in control.
I routinely tell this to anyone who gets froggy with me :
“I promise, you need me WAY more than I need you. Are you SURE you want to take that road with someone
in my company/me?”
I’ve done all of these, because I am in complete control our SEO. We own and maintain all of our own digital
assets.
We reserve the right to use them how we please.
